This trip will give you unforgettable experiences in the magical ‘Pearl of Africa’. Visit the top of beautiful Murchison Falls, go game viewing and enjoy boat trips in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Park, head out on a chimpanzee trek in Kibale National Park-you will be amazed by the large population of primates here and conclude the safari with remarkable gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National park followed by a relaxing time at Lake Bunyonyi. Welcome to the Pearl of Uganda.


Day 1

Arrival- Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary- Murchison Falls National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will pick you from the airport for the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a short walk to see the white rhinos with a ranger escort for about an hour. Have lunch at Kabalega Diners, then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. You will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting warthogs, elephants and other wildlife on your way to your accommodation.

Day 2

Morning Game Drive-Afternoon Boat Trip

The day begins early with early morning breakfast, then head out on a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile to experience a great deal of wildlife and bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and afterwards go on a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Game viewing is excellent with hippos in hundreds, come of the largest crocodiles left in Africa, small herds of buffalo, waterbuck and Uganda kobs. Elephants are frequently seen playing in the water often within few meters. Even from the main point a longer footpath perhaps 30 minutes, leads to a saddle offering a face on view of the Murchison Falls.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, the safari will continue with transfer to Kibale National Park. This park is highly alluring to nature lovers for its excellent chimpanzee trekking and bird watching. It boasts one of the highest concentrations of primates such as velvet, red-tailed, L’Hoests and blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, red colobus, olive baboon and chimpanzee. Upon arrival you will check in your room and have a relaxed evening.

Day 4

Chimpanzee trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, proceed to the park office for briefing. While in the forest expect to see atleast 2-3 other types of primates most especially grey cheeked mangabey and red tailed monkey. You will hear plenty of bird songs too. The guides are knowledgeable and will identify various bird calls and animal spoor. Once you find the chimpanzees, you will be allowed an hour with them. You will return to the lodge for lunch, thereafter you will head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Morning Game Drive- Afternoon Boat Trip

After breakfast, go for an early morning game drive through the park, looking out for members of the big five as well as other mammals such as giant hogs and antelopes. You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat trip along the Kazinga channel. A great trip with sightings which might include elephants, buffaloes, large hippo pods, giant forest hogs and more. Keep your eyes open for the enormous monitor lizard which is common in the riverine scrub aw well as crocodiles. Water birds are plentiful such as yellow billed stock, pelicans, fish eagles, crowned eagles. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Queen Elizabeth National Park- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is well known for its tree climbing lions’ population as well as good concentration of hippos, elephants, buffaloes and antelopes. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas, reaching in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Gorilla Trekking-Lake Bunyonyi

After early breakfast, you will drive to the park offices for briefing. Gorilla trekking is a highlight of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, trekking through the park’s ecosystem of rain forest and bamboo covered slopes. The trekking will take 3-5 hours depending on the gorilla movements. Take a lunch box with you or return to the lodge for lunch depending on the day’s activity. Later you will drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. Check in your lodge for a relaxed evening with stunning views of the lake. You can have an optional boat cruise on the lake to discover its scattered islands.

Day 8

Lake Bunyonyi- Entebbe/ Kampala

Have a delicious breakfast, then start on your journey to Kampala/ Entebbe with stopovers for lunch along the way and the Equator for pictures. Proceed with the journey to Entebbe arriving late afternoon or evening to be dropped at the airport or hotel. Enriched with the memory of the rare apes and savanna wildlife, you will say goodbye to the pearl of Africa.
