Itineraries

Day 1

Fly to Kisoro

Take your flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi Airstrip as you make your way to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon your arrival at the airstrip, your guide will pick you up and take you to your lodge where you can check in to your honeymoon suite and freshen up. In the afternoon you will head to Batwa for a community tour, allowing you to meet some of the local people that live in this magnificent conservation area. Witness some traditional dancing and singing and catch a glimpse of their fascinating lives as you experience some of their culture. Enjoy some of their age-old story telling before driving back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking adventure

After breakfast, you will head off into the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search for the magnificent mountain gorillas of Uganda. As you make your way through the rainforest, you may come across any number of the 5 other gorilla species, 113 mammal species or 360 bird species. The gorillas you will trek belong to one of the habituated family groups who tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. After a trek through the dense jungle you will be rewarded with face to face sightings of one of the rarest animals on earth. Sit in silence and observe these amazing gentle giants for one hour before heading back to the lodge for lunch. Have a massage and relaxed evening among the sounds of the forest.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Ishasha Sector

Enjoy some breakfast before leaving the reserve and making your way to Queen Elizabeth, passing through the Ishasha Sector for a chance to see the famous tree- climbing lions. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the lions perched in a fig tree, keeping an eye out for the antelopes that roam the area. Have a picnic lunch along the Ishasha River while watching hundreds of hippos walloping in the water before making your way to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the evening and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 4

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat cruise

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in the Kisenyi plains, which forms part of the vast Savannah of the Albertine Rift Valley in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. You can expect to encounter the big cats, elephants, buffaloes on your drive. Later you will return to the lodge before heading out for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Chanel in the afternoon. Here you will be able to enjoy a different game viewing experience as you float past the animals that have come to drink. In the evening you will make your way back to the lodge for some dinner.

Day 5

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park and enjoy an en-route stop over at the equator line for a chance to take some photos. Proceed to Fort Portal, travelling through the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon and enjoy a traditional African lunch. Thereafter continue to your honeymoon room in the Kibale National Park and enjoy a relaxed evening at a private table with some cocktails and a delicious dinner.

Day 6

Chimpanzee Trekking

After early breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarter for a pre-trek briefing and then begin your hike into the forest as you search for the famous chimps. Once you find them, you will be able to spend an hour with the group, watching them as they climb the trees, play and interact with one another and witness their fascinating behaviors while listening to the sounds of the jungle around you. You may see some of the other primates, including the grey cheeked mangabey and the red tailed monkey amongst various bird species. After your time in the forest, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. In the evening you will have the chance to enjoy optional coffee tour before dinner.

Day 7

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park with an en-route lunch stop in Hoima town. After lunch you will take a ferry crossing and arrive at the park in the afternoon. Enjoy the beautiful scenery upon arrival as you make your way to the lodge. If you are lucky, you might see some of the elephants before enjoying sunset drinks by the pool as you overlook the Albert Nile.

Day 8

Game Drive and Boat Trip

After breakfast, you will head out on a morning game drive towards the delta to experience some of the spectacular wildlife in the reserve including big cats and herds of giraffes. In the afternoon you will go for the boat cruise on the Nile and make your way to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Enjoy sighting of hippos and Nile crocodiles among other animals that come to drink. Keep your eyes peeled for the beautiful bird life, including the iconic African Fish eagle. Return to the lodge and proceed for a sundowner safari enjoying some drinks and snacks before sunset.

Day 9

Transfer to Kampala Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, check out and drive to the top of the Murchison Falls for a chance to see the Nile squeeze through a 7-meter-wide gorge, creating an impressive display of power as the water thunders down 45 meters. After the amazing waterfall scenes, you will proceed to Amuka Lodge for lunch which will be followed by a walking safari at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, allowing you to get close to these amazing creatures. Witness the beauty of these African unicorns while walking with a ranger for about an hour. Later you will proceed to Kampala where you will check in your honeymoon suite and enjoy the final dinner of the safari.

Day 10

Departure

Enjoy some breakfast before heading towards Entebbe International Airport, with an en-route stop at one of the villages, depending on the time of your flight. Take some last-minute photos and soak up some African culture before the end of your safari. Catch your flight, returning home with amazing memories of your honeymoon, ready to start your life together.
